Alyssa Gonzalez
About
Alyssa received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania where she focused on developing three-dimensional tissue culture models to study the impact of bile acids on immune functions in the intestinal epithelium. A student in the department of Microbiology & Immunology, she is currently pursuing her PhD in the Fidock Lab. Scientifically, Alyssa is interested in infectious disease research with translational potential such as the development of novel therapeutics and rapid diagnostics. Outside of the lab, she enjoys baking, reading, and crafting.
