Isla Anderson
About
Isla Anderson is a Research Coordinator for the Fidock Lab at Columbia Irving Medical Center. She is originally from Denver Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Microbiology and Infectious Disease and a minor in Spanish Language. While at Colorado State University, Isla worked in the Moreno Lab studying neurodegenerative disease and how peripheral Tuberculosis infection causes neuroinflammation increasing the risk of developing neurodegenerative disease. She loves the tiny world of microorganisms and the many complicated mechanisms they employ as well as understanding how the human body is interconnected by these mechanisms.
