Lily Orta is a lab manager and research technician for the Fidock Lab. She graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in biology, and minors in global health and religious studies. While there, she worked in the Moore Lab of Neurology studying the impacts of transient receptor potential (TRP) ion channels and completed a thesis about the use of TRP channels in keratinocyte immunology in response to UVB radiation. Lily plans to pursue a Ph.D. in microbiology in the future.
